| I went to the orphanage again today. I arrived early because I knew it would be my last day. I found Mr. Burnes amongst the children and told him that I would be returning to Los Angeles the next day. He asked me if I wanted to stay on. I thanked him for allowing me to work there, but I had other responsibilities I had to attend to elsewhere. I spent the rest of the day helping with the children. I spent a good deal of my time talking with Daisy about my family again. To my surprise the more I talked about them the more I began to miss seeing them. It seemed that a weight had been lifted from Zack that day. I had heard that the people had come to start adoption proceeding for Zack earlier in the day. Eventually it came time for the children to go to bed. After they were all asleep, I told Winnie, Ben, and Beth goodbye. I thanked them for everything before I headed back to the apartment. I knew I would need to get up early tomorrow to catch my flight back to Los Angeles. | ||||
